Hull based company Arco Ltd are leading experts in safety at work, they believe that by investing in their own people they are able to offer expert advice and support to their customers. Therefore, when they were approached by Hull College to access fully funded training for their staff they were more than happy to work with Hull College to come up with a training programme which would meet their skills needs.
14 members of staff undertook training in Warehousing level 2. When asked what difference the Workplace Learning programme has made to the organisation, Amber Stanforth, Skills Implementation Manager stated:
“Employees are more aware of the working environment due to the Health & Safety training. They are raising more safety concerns and achieving our organisational goals…employees are more confident when applying for progression opportunities.”
Feedback from individuals has been great, Anna Potyralia explains the difference Workplace Learning & the training has had on her job and ability at work,
“I have definitely improved in myself, I have more opportunities and I’m in a better position for the future. My confidence has also improved at work.”
All individuals who undertook the training with Hull College have expressed an interest in progressing onto a level 3 qualification to further enhance their employment opportunities and knowledge.
