It was announced at the beginning of the year that Calderdale College are the Local Strategic Partner for Talent Match in Calderdale. Since then the College have hosted their first meeting with representatives from organisations in Calderdale who work with young people to support them into work or closer to work. Organisations included:
•G4S Employment Support Services
•St Augustins Centre
Mark Lunn, Director of External Funding at Calderdale College comments on the first meeting: “Initial discussions suggest that organisations in Calderdale are doing great work to engage with young people furthest away from the job market; however we need to collate all this information and work together on initiatives to better support young people to get into, or closer to work. We hope to work more closely together and collaboratively going forward”

The aim of the Leeds City Region Talent Match Project is to engage with approximately 2,300 young people aged 18-24 who are long term unemployed and who require intensive support and coaching through a Key Worker approach in order to access a flexible and responsive pathway which will support them to get into, or closer to work.
