Redundancy Support for Individuals

If you live in Greater Manchester or Black Country and have been affected by redundancy, you may be eligible for fully funded training to help you develop your skills and improve your employment opportunities.

This training is co-financed by the European Union’s European Social Fund and the Skills Funding Agency.

To be eligible for this support, you must:

  • have been made redundant within the past six months or,
  • be at risk of redundancy or
  • have received notice of redundancy

And:

  • live in the Black Country and be aged 18 or over, or
  • live in the Greater Manchester area and be aged 19 or over.

If you live in York, North Yorkshire or East Riding and are at risk of, or under notice of redundancy, you may also be eligible. However your employer will have to apply for support on your behalf. You can ask your employer to look at our Redundancy Support for Employers Page for more information.
